Huk InteractiveNineBox Privacy Policy
NineBox is a record-keeping app published by Huk Interactive for receipts and business mileage. This policy describes what the app accesses and where that data lives.
Data we store on your devices
Receipt photos, extracted text, expense amounts, trip miles, start and end coordinates collected during an active trip, income you type in, and settings are stored in the app’s local database on your iPhone or Mac. NineBox does not operate its own account system or cloud database. Deleting the app deletes that local box unless you exported a copy.
What we do not collect
- We do not require an email or NineBox login.
- We do not run our own analytics on the contents of your receipts.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not connect to your bank.
- We do not sync records through iCloud or CloudKit.
On-device receipt reading
Text is recognized with Apple’s Vision framework on the device. Receipt images are not sent to a NineBox server for analysis.
Location
Location is used only while you start a live trip, to measure miles. Updates stop when you end the trip. You can add miles by hand instead.
When a trip starts and when it ends, NineBox may send those two coordinates to Apple’s reverse-geocoding service so it can suggest a place name. Miles themselves are measured on the device from GPS points and are not sent to Huk Interactive.
Camera and photos
The camera or photo library is used only when you choose to capture or import a receipt. Access is optional.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment data. NineBox only learns whether your Apple ID is entitled to NineBox Pro.
Children
NineBox is not directed at children under 13.
